According to the World Health Organization, the fourth most commonly diagnosed cancer in women globally, is cervical cancer. As of 2020, an estimated 604,000 new cases and 342,000 deaths have been recorded as per WHO. Although cervical cancer is known to occur in women across all the age groups, the disease is on the rise for women aged between 30 to 49. Especially for women in the 30 to 39 age group, cervical cancer is the fifth most commonly diagnosed type of cancer.
